Hospitals with which we deals have acute services such running with Super Speciality Facilities or having specialist for all units. These may then be backed up by all specialist units such as the following:

·        Cardiovascular intensive care unit

  • Neurology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Surgical Gastroenterologist
  • Gynaecology
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopaedic
  • Neurology
  • Neurosurgery

Some hospitals have outpatient departments and some have chronic treatment units such as behavioural health services, dentistry, dermatology, psychiatric ward, rehabilitation services, and physical therapy.

Common support units include a dispensary or pharmacy, pathology, and radiology. On the non-medical side, there often are medical records departments, release of information departments, information management, clinical engineering, facilities management, plant operations theatres, dining services, and security departments.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

·        As an anaesthetist you’ll provide anaesthetics to patients for surgery and intensive care. Your main responsibility would be to care for patients before, during and after surgery, making sure that they are safe and comfortable.

·        Prepare patients for surgery by explaining any risks or side effects

·        Give anaesthetics to patients

·        Observe and monitor patients during surgery, responding quickly to any changes

·        Resuscitate and stabilise patients in the emergency department

·        Relieve pain during childbirth with hospital will have gynaecology department

·        Ease pain after an operation

·        Manage acute and chronic pain

·        Help psychiatric patients receiving electric shock therapy.

·        The ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions

·        Practical skills for examining patients and performing clinical procedures

·        Good communication skills and the ability to explain choices to patients

·        Leadership and management skills

·        The ability to always work to high professional standards

·        A keen interest in your specialist field and a willingness to keep your skills up to date.
