Job Description: Responsible for diagnostic imaging procedures that involve radioactive materials, and nuclear medicine physicians have to handle scans in order to diagnose patients. PET scan of the brain, accumulate differently in different parts of the brain based on chemical activity. Physician handle all regions on the scan, different types of nuclear medicine testing to help them diagnose conditions as varied as dementia and hyperthyroidism, as able to further for the patient requirements.
